How To Empower Yourself Greatly Using This One Simple Technique

There is no better feeling in the world than when I feel empowered to be much more than I give myself credit for. And if there is one thing that has propelled my confidence more than anything, I would have to say it is walking.

I came across this wonderful feeling when I started walking more. I began walking a lot more about 8 months ago mainly because I found the gym so boring and too strenuous at times. I felt like I needed an exercise that would not exert me, but something I could do every day and something I could build over time and see results for.

So I began walking everywhere and my goal was to reach 10,000 steps every day, and more if I could. I knew I would be walking alone and so I purchased some wireless headphones to keep me occupied. I listened to audiobooks a lot so I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to enjoy my walks.

Then one day I discovered that repeating positive empowering messages to myself during my walk not only made me feel great but it boosted my confidence to such a degree that I instantly felt like a much better version of myself.

So I began to do this every time I walked anywhere alone, whether at work during my lunchtime, in the evening after I arrived home or at the weekends running errands. I stopped taking the car and started walking everywhere.

The best thing about my empowerment walk (this is my term for it) is the numerous benefits I get from it. I feel fitter than usual as I am walking approximately four miles a day, I breathe in fresh air more than I would usually, I receive negative ions from the environment which is proven to increase physiological health and I boost my confidence to such a degree that I feel on top of the world. Not to mention how easy walking is.

So I encourage you to try it too. Tell yourself how amazing you are as you walk. Repeat positive statements such as “I love being me”, “I have an amazing life”, “I am confident and sure of myself”, “I have wonderful people in my life”, “I am confident in my job”, “I have phenomenal coping skills”.

There are also numerous motivational videos on YouTube that are great to listen to on your walk. Whether it is for business, career, relationships or family. The more you keep your mind focused on the life you want to live, then the more likely you are to live that life.

Whatever you want in your life and whoever you want to be, repeat positive statements as if you already have those things. When you repeat them over and over and you actively pursue them, then those things always come into your life. Stay confident in your approach and know that you already have what you want.

So go on and give it a try. For the winter months, I invested in a water/windproof coat so that I wouldn’t stop walking. And if I was walking during rush hour I found routes that had little traffic and more greenery. Remember to stay safe if walking with headphones, walk towards oncoming traffic and refrain from using headphones in the dark.
